WHAT IS TWEEHIVE? ( A BASIC GUIDE)

Tweehive is a mass role play by human beings of a bee colony on twitter. This will take place on three days, July 14, August 5 and Sept 5. The aim is to raise bee awareness, wonderment, interest, actions - plus generate traffic to bee related sites and resources. We are affiliated with http://pestival.org and our third daily role play will be featured at this South Bank event (London) in the first week of September.

The Bee Goddess

Busa and Her Bee

Tribal shamanic groups share the ancient archetype that the Goddess spins a universe where nature is not distinguished from humankind. They embody the essence of its consciousness into a holistic continuum where there is no dichotomy between themselves and the natural world. It is a philosophy of sustainability intrinsic with itself.

Busa is a female shaman with strong links to her past, she shares the deep cultural undertone and knowledge of the Akha elders and lives within t… Continue

Bee Swarm ring tone

Imagine being on the bus with bees swarming as your ringtone....I forgot I had it on!! Great way to get people talking about Tweehive and Pestival....

And who would have thought there is a Bee-keeping book for mobile!!

You can get it in the new Downloads section of http://www.Tweehive.mobi from your phone along with bee wallpapers, videos and ringtones...

Tweehive has a mobile App..

Hi everyone, Tweehive now has a mobile application all of its own.

2,500 people have already downloaded the Tweehive Mobile WebApp in the last 48hrs alone.

What is means is that you can get a Tweehive icon on your phone that launches Tweehive.mobi and makes your partner/friends/colleagues surprisingly curious about the new orange button on your phone.

Being Queenless or Not Being Queenless...This is the question...

Does anyone know anything about queenlessness? I suspect that an artificial swarm I did about a month ago does not have a queen...I want to be sure before I re-unite them with big hive before autumn...how?

Cathy.

9 days to Tweehive 2

Hi, we're now in the countdown to Tweehive 2. Am cross posting the basic message/call-up which we sent to the facebook group members and please do get on the inviting and informing grapevine to help us build the buzz there.

Three further things it would be great if any of this core community could help with:
1. any websites you know with bee relevant content please do approach them to host the flower widget, all they need to do is visit http://www.tweehive.com/potting-shed & it's a simple p… Continue

No idea if any of these might provide a springboard to useful stuff, but I'll start dumping here, and all else can add, decry or turn it into something wonderous as they wish...
